Bryan Cranston stars as a judge confronting his convictions when his son is involved in a hit and run that embroils an organized crime family. He faces impossible choices and discovers how far a father will go to save his son's life.
Instead of a serious examination of the consequences of covering up a crime, Your Honor is an increasingly convoluted labyrinth of coincidences and contrivances, which begin piling up almost immediately.
A solid but unspectacular miniseries produced by and starring Bryan Cranston. The casting is generally superior to the material, which sets up the moral dilemma of just how many rules one judge will bend and break to protect his son.
Your Honor is complicated, but good complicated: The impulses of the players are understandable. And even though the means are ruthless and the ends seemingly inevitable, one can still be startled by how things play out.
