Okay, the finale couldn't quite live up to this season's most impressive moments, but that's often the case -- and this time in particular, those were considerably impressive heights it was attempting to equal.
How much fun was it to see Sandra win again, in basically the same way she did before, being just as underestimated as she was the first time. It's like the 1980 U.S. hockey team winning the Miracle on Ice again.
Hot DAMN was that some good Survivor. Some good television, period. It's become crystal clear these last few months that Heroes vs. Villains was the perfect Icelandic volcano eruption for fans of the 10-year-old series
I find myself re-energized, happy to see challenges and fire-building and scheming and all the rest. I may burn out eventually, but when "Survivor" is good -- as this episode mostly was -- it's very good.
