Mike Dazé is a film maker. The youngest of four children, Mike has a twin brother, David, and sisters Colette and Nicole. They represent the sixth generation of Los Angelenos on their father's maternal side of the family.Mike's Mother is an Anthropologist in Oahu, Hawaii, and married to retired Navy Commander Kit Carlan. Mike's Father David Tmothy Dazé is a Deputy City Attorney for the City of Los Angeles, and is married to Stacy Dazé. Mike was educated by the Jesuit Priests both at Loyola High School, Los Angeles and Loyola Marymount University, where earned his BA in Theatre Arts. He and his twin brother represent the fourth generation to graduate from both the high and LMU.As a young boy, Mike's began his life in the performing arts when he sang professionally with the St. Mel Boy Choir in Woodland Hills, CA under the musical direction of William D. Usher II.After beginning high school, Mike focused on his performance in the track and field arena as a pole vaulter for four years. In his senior year at Loyola HS, he took elective acting class under the guidance of Mr. Walter Wolfe and his eyes were opened to the craft of acting on stage.In between semesters/years of college, Mike toured with rock and roll bands internationally as a roadie and eventually as a tour manager.In his final semester at LMU, Mike Studied abroad in Bonn, Germany as well as in Moscow, Russia at the Moscow Art Theatre, MXAT Under the direction of Diane Benedict M.F.A. , Mike performed in a production of Peter Brooks'Conference of the Birds, which toured the Schauspielhaus, Bonn, MXAT, and the Theatre Museum in Dusseldorf.Post University, Mike studied film production in Hollywood as a Production Assistent for the FOX TV series THE UNIT, NBC Universal's series remake of Knight Rider, and DreamWorks Pictures I Love You, Man.Mike spent a year on Oahu, Hawai'i and acted in various radio commercials, short independent films and with The Actors Group Theater Company in Honolulu. He performed in Ernest J. Gaines' A LESSON BEFORE DYING as Paul Bonin, under the direction of Laurie Tanoura.While on a planned six day visit in New York City, Mike fell in love with the City and a woman, and stayed in New York for two and a half years. During his time in NYC, he spent two years under the direct Tutelage of Terry Schreiber at T. Schreiber Studio. There Mike also served as facilities manager, and Technical Director and Lead Carpenter for two off off Broadway productions. In the spring of 2011, Mike took the audience back to Sheffield, England circa 1971, for which his performance brought notable reviews:-"...the peacock of the group, Mike Dazé as the talented and pampered team captain..."
