Kevin acted in a commercial for Heinz sauce, a BBC drama titled "The Marksman", and then acted in Brookside for four years before asking to leave in order to pursue his education. He studied English Literature at Liverpool University and Renaissance Literature at Cambridge University before becoming a secondary school teacher.
