When Alice tells everybody about the strange new land, they think she must be insane. A doctor aims to cure her by making her forget everything but at the last moment, Alice realizes that the strange world is real. With the help of the Knave of Hearts and the White Rabbit, Alice embarks on an adventure to discover the magical world that exists on the other side of the rabbit hole.
Once Upon a Time in Wonderland is a disappointment, focusing more on the chintzy tableau of the candy-colored Wonderland than on giving its actors anything interesting to do there.
Alice's battles with various computer-animated and live-action threats are entertaining and, usually, rather witty, though her traveling companions, the White Rabbit and the Knave of Hearts, get most of the best lines.
