Mr Robot - Season 2 Episode 05: eps2.3_logic-b0mb.hc
The premiere will pick up 30 days after the now infamous fsociety 5/9 hack on multi-national company Evil Corp. Season 2 will explore the consequences of that attack as well as the illusion of control.
But "Logic Bomb" -- the best episode of the season so far -- proved that Mr. Robot works better when these characters bounce off each other and are after similar goals.
For me, Mr Robot doesn't need another subplot. It already has enough on its plate trying to keep the main story -- told through Dom, Angela, Darlene -- on the rails, plus the increasingly weird Mrs Wellick narrative to boot.
The fingers are fluttering, the voiceover is in full effect, the eyes are bulging. Elliot (Rami Malek)-or is this Mr. Robot?-is back in the game, and it couldn't have come soon enough.
What happens next is, in fact, a series of unnerving surprises, and a cliffhanger that sends Mr. Robot hurtling into its second half with renewed vigor.
Though the Tyrell mystery is waning, in both importance and execution, I'm glad we found out what Ray was all about and I really enjoyed how it wound up being so much darker than I ever anticipated.
If Mr. Robot has taught us anything, it's that these characters often band together right before falling apart, these "collaborative efforts" always lead to bloodshed.
