Wayne Rigsby was an arson investigator before joining the CBI. His father, Steven Rigsby, was an outlaw biker and he hates them. He is often partnered with Cho.Rigsby entered into a relationship with Van Pelt, which at the time, was against CBI regulations. They tried to keep it a secret, it eventually came to the notice of Madelyn Hightower, who gave them the ultimatum; either break off the relationship, or leave the CBI. Van Pelt made the decision to break off the relationship. Rigsby then entered into a relationship with Sarah, and they had a son, Ben. This relationship ended after Rigsby's death was faked as part of an unsuccessful sting operation to get Red John. Rigsby and VanPelt resumed their relationship, which became permissible after a change in CBI regulations, and they later married. After the dissolution of the CBI, they started a computer security business, and had a daughter Maddie. They were enlisted by the FBI to uncover the conspiracy plotted by Richard Haibach and his sister. Although shot several times, he survived, and killed Haibach. Although agent Abbot offered them positions with the FBI, they preferred civilian life, ending their involvement in the series.he is not 5'11 (S04E24)
