Stats Stats Name: ShockwaveAffiliation: DecepticonFunction(s): Scientist, Director of Military OperationsAlternate Mode: Flying cannon, tankMotto: Clarity of thought before rashness of action. Of all the Decepticons, his method of operation was most characterized by the cold, brutal efficiency one would expect of a purely mechanical being. He entered every battle not with the bloodlust of his comrades, but with a scientist's approach to solving a problem. The problem was always the same: How can he use his abilities to most effectively eliminate the greatest number of his enemies, the Autobots? All too often he found the answer. He was second in command of the Decepticons on Cybertron, but when Megatron left to hunt down Optimus Prime and his group of Autobots, he was left in command until Megatron's return. When Megatron was assumed dead, he remained ruler of Cybertron and somehow managed to sustain it and keep Decepticon dominance over the four million years until Megatron's resurfacing. When Megatron contacted Cybertron again, he and Shockwave planned a spacebridge that could transport energy from Earth to Cybertron. Megatron was sent to Cybertron when he was knocked into the spacebridge during a fight with the Autobots. Megatron soon returned to Earth and left Shockwave once again in command of Cybertron. He had since remained ruler of Cybertron in Megatron's absence. He was often in charge of manifesting the Spacebridge on Earth. He also played part in preparing Cybertron to be transported into Earth's orbit. He only got into direct combat with the Autobots unless they came to Cybertron and invaded his base. He also discovered that the female Autobots still existed when they invaded his base to steal Energon. In 2005, he was present in the Decepticon communications room when Laserbeak returned with information on the Autobots plan to retake Cybertron. He also commanded the Decepticons on Cybertron when Unicron attacked. He oddly has not been seen since, whether he was killed in the fighting or has remained in hiding since the Autobots retook Cybertron is unknown.Among the Decepticons, his power was second only to Megatron's. His total command of the electromagnetic spectrum allowed him, in his ray-gun mode, to emit a coruscating beam of energy in a wide variety of forms: high-energy explosive gamma rays, x-rays that allow him to see through almost anything, blinding visible light, super-hot infrared rays and radio waves that can either send messages or jam other radio signals are but a few of the weapons in his arsenal. Having never left Cybertron, he remained a size consistent with his robot mode when he transformed to a ray-gun, that is, more than 35 feet long. He could fly in either mode using powerful jet thrusters in his boots (which become the handle in his ray-gun mode). His wave-emission power, as well as his flying, was limited by his high fuel consumption. Although he used the same Energon as his fellow Transformers, he could also use radioactive fuels in the small nuclear reactor within his torso, which substantially eliminated his Energon dependency problem. Although his logical brain center was usually an advantage, more intuitive and emotional thinking processes often confounded him, particularly when his adversary was human. Show less «
