RJ Berger is the main character of the 2010 MTV live action comedy series, The Hard Times of R.J. Berger He is played by Paul Iacono.Richard J. Berger is a nerdy high school sophmore boy, with two equally nerdy friends, Miles Jenner and Lily Miran, the latter of which has an uncontrollable crush on him, and vows to lose her virginity to him. He is intelligent, cynical, shy, and unlucky with women, but has a crush on cheerleader Jenny Swanson, who is known to be in a relationship with jock/jerk Max Owens. His parents Rick and Suzanne, on the other hand are far more sexually adventureous, in fact they're swingers. One day while substituting for another high school basketball palyer during a game, his pants fell down during a missed play and the world discovered that he has a very large penis.From this point on, Berger's social life starts to improve, somewhat. Jocks who previously used to beat him up for kicks now felt threatened by him, especially Max. As he explains to Miles, his penis size has been a curse rather than a gift. While tutoring Natsumi Taniko, a Japanese exchange student in English, they seemed to fall in love with each other, until she tried to give him oral sex and nearly choked to death. After the game that made him famous, RJ, Miles, and Lily were invited to a party with all the jocks, and when he offered to help a young girl who was having trouble with the spigot of a beer keg she suggested that he use his penis to dispense the beer. When he was invited for another party, he wanted to buy an impressive and expensive gift for Jenny, and his parents offered a him a job with some friends of the family who both sought to use him sexually.
