Matthew Beeman is the teenage son of FBI Agent Stan Beeman and his wife Sandra. Matthew has grown up with a largely absent father, particularly for the last several years while Stan worked a deep cover job infiltrating a white supremacists group. Matthew doesn't seem particularly close to his father and is a pretty quiet teen, but seems to take an interest in Paige Jennings, the teenage daughter of Phillip and Elizabeth Jennings, who lives in the neighborhood where the Beemans have just moved. Matthew, like Paige, doesn't know that Paige's parents are not just suburban travel agents, but KGB spies.
