Charles Davis was a man who felt that the world had cheated him. He knew he was smarter and better than other people, but they would never recognize his worth. He would show them one day, he was sure, he would make them all pay.Charles became an important man when he decided to become the Scorpio. He began by killing a woman with a sniper rifle from the top of the 101 California Building (which would later be the site of a famous shooting spree by Gian Luigi Ferri). But it wasn't enough that he experienced the ultimate expression of super-human power, the taking of another life, oh no, he wanted recognition for his superiority. Therefore, he sent a note to the San Francisco Police Dept, boasting of his crimes, and demanding to be paid $100,000 or he would kill again. Actually, he knew he would kill again either way, but the money would confirm his superiority to all the ridiculous pigs and little people. His next attempt at murder was foiled by a helicopter, but he eluded the pigs and killed a black child from a rooftop. His next plan was to take out a self-righteous catholic Priest-pig. In this he was foiled by pigs who had laid a trap for him, there was a brief shootout, but he got away, because he was smarter, of course. This made Scorpio very angry, however, and he took his revenge by kidnapping and raping a young girl. He then buried her alive and allowed her to die, meanwhile attempting once again to extort money from the City of San Francisco. The City tried to pay up, but the arrogance of one particularly brutal pig, one dirty Harry Callahan, prevented Scorpio from keeping the money he deserved. Later that same pig showed up at Scorpio's home and forced him to give the location of the girl's burial site, for all the good it did the lousy oinker.Scorpio was released by the District Attorney, who probably recognized some of his genius, as well as the unfair treatment he had suffered at the hands of the pig. He got revenge on Callahan by paying a black man to beat him and blaming it on the pigs. Then he put his most important plan into effect.Scorpio got a new gun by assaulting a stupid liquor store owner and waited at a school bus stop until he could hijack a busload of screaming brats. Then he got the message to the pigs that he wanted his payment and a jet out of the country. All was going well (except that some times he had to smack the brats to keep them in line) until he saw Callahan waiting on an overpass. Callahan managed to leap onto the schoolbus and Scorpio had to stop the bus and run. He tried to kill the pig, but he kept getting lucky (Scorpio never got the breaks). Finally, when he had managed to find another innocent child for a hostage, Scorpio thought he had won, but the pig shot him in the shoulder.Scorpio made one last effort to kill the pig, sure he had run out of bullets, but the pig fired first. Scorpio died alone, and no one appreciated his superiority. Show less «
