Monica Keena plays Abby Morgan in Dawson's Creek in Season 1 and 2. Abby Morgan is an influential character up until she passed during the end of season 2 of the show. Her character was introduced in Season 1, Episode 7, called Detention , when she, and the main cast received a Saturday detention for various reasons. When questioned on the reason of her detention, she fabricates an outlandish lie to make herself seem more provocative. In the end, it was her frequent tardiness that caused the detention, showing that Abby is all bark and no bite. While her character only appears in a few episodes in the first season, she gains frequency in the second season when she develops a friendship with Jen. It is believed she befriends Jen, because she has a partying past, and Abby was looking for someone to enable her behavior. Over the course of season two, it becomes apparent that Abby behavior is becoming more and more reckless. In Season 2, episode 18, A Perfect Wedding Abby and Jen decide to crash the wedding The Ice House catered, stealing copious amounts of liquor, and it eventually leads to the tragedy of Abby falling off the dock, and subsequently drowning.
