Shot on 35mm, Actress/Producer Zoya Skya's film Margreet (2015) (aka "Mata Hari") had its World Premiere at Cannes Film Festival 2015 Short Corner. Zoya Skya produced Margreet in which she co-stars with Riley Smith. In 2013 Zoya became Personal Assistant to J.J. Alani (WGA writer, DGA director & producer.) Alani became her mentor at Newroz Films, where she learned the art and craft of producing independent films. She produced her 1st short Awaking (2014), an official selection at several film festivals, including Palm Springs Film Festival & Minsk International Film Festival.Recently she produced her third short The Guilt List (2016) which will be submitted to international film festivals.Zoya is Executive Founder/Producer at LetoFilm and an Associate Producer at Newroz Films in Los Angeles. She produces shorts, docs, promos and commercial TV. She aims in the future to produce documentary and feature films.
