Born into a talented family Victoria Allen had a strong stint in amateur theatre around her local Canberra. Though often cast as a child or other short rolls she showed her extended rage when she played the hussy in Bus Stop. Her first film roll came when her back appeared for a split second in Somersault. This led to her more high profile roll where she played "Girl at the petrol station" in Jindabyne.
