Steven August Sukul (born August 5th, 1989) was born in Simi Valley, California to parents, Sopon and Suphatra Sukul. A few years after, his family then decided it was best to move to the Northwest of Everett, Washington, where they could raise him and younger sister Brenda, in a prosperous household. At the age of eight, Steven began studying martial arts in Muay Thai and he, along with his family, quickly noticed his natural passion for this sport. At the age of sixteen, as Steven progressed in his education, he was soon to be introduced to the world of Breakdancing and Hip-Hop Choreography, quickly finding a new calling.However, in addition to his love for dancing, Steven had discovered another passion through encouragement from his friends and family to pursue modeling. Graduating in 2007, from Bothell High School, Steven began searching in ways of networking into the modeling industry. He began freelancing and auditioning at casting calls throughout Seattle, Washington. In excitement, he auditioned and booked his first widely known fashion runway show, "Seattle Fashion Week." After becoming successful in the show, Steven began booking more jobs recurring in various fashion shows and major retail such as "International Fashion Tour," and "The Finerie."He has modeled in print ads for Quiksilver, Emporio Armani, and has been featured in television commercials for Target. However in 2011, it was one email that introduced Steven to NBC's Hit Television Show "Grimm." The show in need of background actors, he booked the role as one of the many notorious police officers, of the Portland P.D. (police department) but ultimately wanted more. In 2012, Steven auditioned and landed the new character role of Riley, a fashion designer that would help solve murder cases alongside with fellow detectives Nick Burkhardt and Hank Griffin.
