Shawna's first taste of limelight came when she received a lead role in a Performing Arts Group in Hawaii when she was 11 years old. She played the role of Badger in the musical adaptation of "The Taming of Toad" She also appeared in several local Hawaiian commercials. After living in Hawai for three years she and her family moved to Ormond Beach Florida where she lived until graduating from Seabreeze High School in Daytona Beach.Shawna joined the U.S. Navy as an Air Traffic Controller and traveled all over the world during her 5 and a half year tour, although never having been stationed on a ship.2000-While serving in the Navy, played the lead role of Lucy in 'Dracula' at Keflavik Icelands Community Theater.Moved back to Hawaii 2003-2005In 2005 she received her B.A. in Theater from Hawaii Pacific University.Shawna starred in two films that have been showcased at the Louis Vuitton Hawaii International Film Festival: Public Access: Episode 04 of 05 (2004) and Hopeless in Honolulu (2005).Was a model for Hilo Hatties clothing line in Hawaii.2006 moved to California to continue to pursue acting.She is an alumni of I.O. West (Improv Olymics-Hollywood) Co-created improv group "Population 4" along with fellow alumni Lucas Dick and high school friend Steve J. PalmerPlayed the role of Miranda in the theater adaptation of 'Sex and the City' (2008)Latest film entitled "Ije-The Journey" (working title) filmed mostly in Nigeria, set for release in 2009.Studies at the Ivana Chubbuck Studio.Resides in Orange County, California.
