Saúl is a Makeup Artist that graduated as Esthetician from Dudley Beauty College in Chicago. He was born and raised in Blue Island, Illinois, a south suburban town bordering Chicago, where he resides. Saúl has trained in various areas of the Performance Arts arena. These, which include Barbizon Modeling School of Chicago (Male Modeling). The same year, Saúl placed 2nd in the "1997 Chicago JCPenney Hispanic Model Search". And, for a couple seasons he worked for Calvin Klein as Fragrance Model, promoting same.In order to understand character development and the building blocks of a scene, to produce an accurate depiction of the character or model at hand via makeup, he attended Act One Studios (Chicago) and The Second City (Chicago), completing the Second City Improv Program in 2016. Additional training included voice and speech, and Stand-Up.As Makeup Artist, Saúl has worked on several projects with Chicago Director John Borowski, specifically "The Portrait", awarded Best Overall Film at the 2016 Frozen Film Fest in Chicago. He has also worked makeup with singer Sister Soleil n/k/a her new band Dub Witch; Chicago's up-and-coming Alive/Alone alternative band, and the Bride to Chicago's DJ Maurice "ICE" Culpepper.In 2013, Saúl worked as Key Makeup Artist for the entire cast of the stage play "8 Right, 7 Left", written by Chicago's Sheila Peele Miller performed at the historical Athenaeum Theatre in Chicago, Illinois.In film, Saúl worked as background extra on Roll Bounce (2005), Death of a President (2006), Were the World Mine (2007), Boss (2011) (HBO series), and Transformers: Age of Distinction (2014).In 2012 he started his company, The House of Liquid Mercury - Talent Group. The objective of his company is to provide workshops in makeup application and makeup services (on set or other) for various types of events, as well as offering services by other talented individuals in order to create jobs.His short-term goals are to begin workshops, act and performing in the various areas of the arts and begin his own Educational and DIY series to help and inspire those needing coaching or help as domestic abuse victims and survivors do.
