Sam Garfield grew up in Portland, Maine, where he studied gymnastics and performing arts and soon became recognized in the theater community as a "triple threat." In 2006, after spending time in North Carolina where he continued his studies and performance, Sam moved to Hollywood, California, where he attended and trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.While in Los Angeles, Samuel performed in regional theater companies such as Performance Riverside and the Glendale Center Theater. He was recognized for his work in the world renowned short film 'Delphinium', a portrait of British film-maker Derek Jarman's adolescent life. The film, one of only two American films inducted into the British Film Institute, has been recognized by The Raindance Film Festival, The Reykjavik International Film Festival, and won the Eastman Kodak Grand Prize for Best Short Film at the 2010 United States Super 8 and DV Film Festival. Followed by his performance in the controversial and critically praised film 'Joshua Tree 1951' about James Dean, where He can be seen playing the role of the young actor Harvey.Sam has also appeared on television shows such as 'One Tree Hill', 'Glee', as well as Discovery Channel's 'Planet Human'. He is an accomplished dancer having performed in shows at Disneyland, House of Blues, and America's Got Talent, and has danced for up-and-coming Pop Artists such as Meital Dohan, Natascha Bessez, Liz Primo, and Country Black.Having worked in the modeling industry for over 10 years, Sam's face can be seen in ads from Xbox, Verizon, and 2x(ist) Underwear to name a few, as well music videos from Taio Cruz to Avicii's world famous "Seek Bromance" video.
