Rachel Knight was born and raised in seacoast New Hampshire. She learned to read and write when she was one and a half years old. When she started elementary school, it was discovered that the six year old possessed college-level reading comprehension skills. This exposed Knight to multiple programs designed for children advanced beyond their years in the fine arts. She began acting and improvisation classes at age nine.Knight attended Marlboro College, an extremely writing-oriented school in Marlboro, Vermont. She double-majored in Psychology and Literature. It was here that Knight began her first paying job, after six years of volunteer service. She was hired as Staff Journalist of the college newspaper. She became Editor-in-Chief in her sophomore year. Despite an ever-growing schedule, Knight continued to follow her passion for acting. She was cast in several plays, oftentimes as a lead.In November 2012, Knight was hired as Resident Journalist for the Native American women's rights organization Save Wiyabi Project. In July 2013, Knight moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting full-time. She continues to write for Save Wiyabi co-founders Lauren Chief Elk and Jessa Rae Growing Thunder. Show less «
