Commenting on the attention surrounding her ground breaking kiss on All My Children (1970): "I am sorry...but there are things on this show that I find far more morally questionable. Women being raped on a regular basis; children dying; people being deceitful, thieving, murdering, cheating. This is a pure love story; it's two grown women who obviously want this to happen. And for me, if it was a choice between kissing Eden and kissing some of the people I've had to do this kind of thing with on other jobs, then I'd choose kissing Eden any day." Show less «

When asked if she did any research for her role as Lena Kundera on All My Children (1970): "I haven't done anything specific. I have lots of gay friends, it's not a culture that's alien to me. I think that this story is between these two women, they represent themselves. They may be a symbol for lesbians or gay groups, but their story is their story, and the way Lena fell in love with Bianca was her own way it wasn't some special gay way. So, no, I didn't do anything actively." Show less «

I completely expected to have to change my name. It didn't for a second occur to me that I would keep it, could keep it. But in fact, I kept being told over and over again and that it's not really done anymore and I didn't have to. I don't know if that was wise or unwise of me, but there we go, I never changed it. All though, when I was thinking of changing it, it actually became very difficult for me to chose anything other than my own name, so I was relieved to not have to change it. Show less «

The story-lines are intense and my character is more removed from "me than probably anything I've ever played before. I'm still trying to figure out what makes this woman tick and I can't wait to get some more detailed input about her character from the producers.
