Lovely and petite dancer and choreographer Nicole Adette Romine was born on September 23 in Sterling, Colorado and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. Romine was inspired by her ballet dancer mother to pursue dancing. She has a younger brother named Brandon. Her first dance class was ballet at age eight. Nicole trained for dancing at the Walnut High School for Performing Arts, Joffrey Ballet, the Paris Dance Center, and Steps in New York City. Moreover, Romine studied acting with Betty Buckley, John Lindsberg, and Anita Jesse. Her first professional dancing job was in a Kansas City stage production of "The Wizard of Oz." Following graduation from high school Nicole traveled to Europe and lived in Paris, France for several months. She then worked in Tokyo, Japan and Argentina before moving back to the United States to continue working in Las Vegas, Nevada. In Las Vegas Romine worked at the Silver Slipper in "Branded" and at the Riviera Hotel in its "Solid Gold" stage production. Nicole joined the cast of the immensely popular musical variety TV series "Solid Gold" in the mid 80s as a regular featured dancer and remained on the show until 1986. After leaving "Solid Gold" Romine went on to appear as a dancer in several episodes of the last season for the TV series "Fame." Her other dancer TV credits include the Jerry Lewis Telethon and the Miss Teen USA beauty pageant. In addition, Nicole has also worked as a director, producer, production coordinator, and choreographer (she has worked in this latter capacity for singer Andy Williams on numerous PBS TV specials which include a Christmas show that was nominated for an Emmy Award). Romine co-owns and teaches at the Danceworks Conservatory in Kansas City, Missouri. Her favorite dance subject is ballet.
