On a dare, Myra J. took to the stage in Los Angeles telling jokes over twenty years ago. After much encouragement from fellow comic and friend, Robin Harris, Myra left behind a career in the social services and decided to make a career as a stand up comedienne and never looked back. Making her mark in comedy led to other fields of entertainment such as television warm-up, writing, acting and radio.Currently hitting the airwaves as the "Poster child for the Single Mom" on the Tom Joyner Morning Show, Myra still performs stand up and makes appearances around the country.
