Martin was born in Didsbury, Manchester. He went to Burnage Crammer school (as it was known then). After leaving school he joined the RAF and served 9 years spending most of his service at HQ AFCENT in the Netherlands. When Martin returned to the UK he became a salesman and started selling Mortgages, Life assurance and Pensions. Where He later became a Sales Manager. After a few years Martin joined West Midlands Police as a Police Officer. In 2002, Martin first appeared on our screens Breaking up a fight in the Queen Vic between Paul Trueman (Gary Beedle), and Gary Hobbs (Ricky Groves) playing the role as a Police Office in one of Britain's top soaps, Eastenders. Since then he became a regular face arresting several of the other cast members. Returning to his roots (Manchester) he then went on to play Jim a Police Officer in another top British soap Coronation Street. Soon after Martin moved to London and appeared as a Police Officer in films such as Love Actually, Basic Instinct 2, Harry Brown and so on. I've worked with some amazing people both in front of and behind the camera and want to thank everyone for your support. Martin has 4 wonderful children. 2 boys Sam and Frankie, and 2 girls Cara and Freddie who he loves very much. For 5 years Martin was a therapist working with people who suffer from Multiple Sclerosis at the MSTG in Brentwood Essex. When martin's not filming you can normally find him either fishing on lake, in a squash court, or on a golf course in West Sussex. Show less «
