Lorene Wagner co-anchors NewsCenter on FOX-28 and reports for NewsCenter on ABC-6. A native of Chapman, Nebraska, Lorene began her broadcast career at KTIV-TV in Sioux City, Iowa as a reporter. Lorene Wagner co-anchors NewsCenter on FOX-28 and reports for NewsCenter on ABC-6. A native of Chapman, Nebraska, Lorene began her broadcast career at KTIV-TV in Sioux City, Iowa as a reporter. She moved on to anchor/report for KDLT-TV in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and WBAY-TV in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Prior to joining ABC-6, Lorene anchored and reported for WBNS-TV. She holds a degree in broadcasting from the University of Nebraska. While not on the anchor desk, Wagner enjoys reporting from all over Central Ohio. She has received numerous awards in several states for her coverage of spot news, live reporting, investigative reporting, and features. Lorene enjoys working with many community organizations, such as the Ohio Cancer Research Research Associates, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Shriners. Recently, Lorene became involved in the Columbus Metropolitan Library Raising Readers Program, encouraging parents to read to their children no matter how young they are. She is also involved in NewsCenter's "Walk for Wishes," which raises money for the Make A Wish Foundation to give terminally ill children a chance to visit their favorite place. She also appeared in the movie "Traffic" shot in Columbus, where she played a reporter alongside Michael Douglas. Married to NewsCenter co-anchor, Bob Hetherington, Lorene enjoys spending time with her young daughter and son, and a cat named Kelsey.
