Kofi is an award-winning Stuntman and Stunt Coordinator who has appeared in 100s of top A-List Blockbuster Films grossing billions of dollars.Kofi is a Screen Actors Guild and Aftra member and has been a member of the elite Stuntmen's Association since 1999. What's more, Kofi got his first stunt job in 1993 when he was only fourteen years old.Kofi is recognized for performing highly dangerous stunts such as fire burns, car hits, high falls, cannons, pipe ramps, descenders, wire work, fights, and much more.Kofi consistently doubles and is in the contracts of some the motion picture industries leading African American actors. Some of Kofi's recent engagements include: Stunt Double for Brandon T. Jackson in Beverly Hills Cop, Tropic Thunder, Rogue Gallery, and Percy Jackson the Lightening Thief & Percy Jackson Sea of Monsters; Stunt Double for NE-YO in Battle LA; Stunt Double for Don Cheadle in Iron Man 3, Traffic, Crash and Swordfish; and, Stunt Double for Lorenze Tate in Crash, and Man Apart.Kofi has also stunt coordinated an episode of D. L. Hughley show, a Nissan car commercial, a short for Brandon T. Jackson called Big Tweet, and a short called Praying For Mercy directed by Bill Duke.Kofi Elam won a Screen Actors Guild Award in 2007 for Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture. He was nominated for a World Stunt Taurus Award in 2007 for Hard Hit for the movie Grid Iron Gang. He received a Black Stuntmen Award in 2008 at the 1st Annual BSA.Kofi's talents stretch beyond being a stuntman. He has acted in many television shows and commercials and is admired for his voice impressions, singing, and Asian and Spanish influenced dialects.The Elam family is well known and well respected in the motion picture industry and Kofi is apart of a family legacy that spans four generations and six decades. Kofi's grandfather, Daniel Elam, was a bit player and extra. Kofi grew up in the business, training with his father at his Stunt Training School (which was featured on Entertainment Tonight). Presently, over 50 of the industry's top Stuntmen, Stuntwomen and Stunt Coordinators have come from his father's Stunt Training School. Kofi Elam, his father, and brothers have been interviewed on Channel 13 News, Discovery Channel, and the Ebony Man Magazine (February 1993) for recognition as the well-renowned, busiest Stunt family in the Motion Picture Industry.His father, Greg Elam is a Stunt Coordinator, 2nd Unit Director, Writer, and Producer. Greg was the Stunt Coordinator for the Motion Picture The Color Purple and he doubled Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy and Gregory Hines. Kofi's older brother Kiante doubles Will Smith and has been Samuel L. Jackson's sole Stunt Double for over 18 years. His oldest brother Ousaun, doubles Denzel Washington and Lawrence Fishburne.Kofi's two young sons, Makhari and Kaleo Elam are following in their dad's footsteps as actors, stunt boys, and print models. Kaleo Elam played his break out hilarious role as Ronnie Mackenzie, Chris Rock and Maya Rudolph's 2 year old son in Grown Ups 2. He has co-star in Henry Danger and filmed countless national commercials. Makhari Elam was his brother's photo double in Grown Ups 2 and has co-star in television shows The Millers and New Girl.
