Jett Salazar (born Jose Luis Salazar) was born and raised in San Antonio, TX to Mario and Veronica Salazar. Growing up, Jett was always involved in school productions and Community Theater, but it was films such as A Streetcar Named Desire and La Mala Educacion that made him realize that his passion lied in film acting. In the fall of 2011, Jett moved to New York City to attend what is known as the oldest acting school in the english speaking world, The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He completed their two-year training program and was invited to be a member of their 2013-2014 Academy Company. His last show at the Academy, Beauty of the father by Nilo Cruz, was only the beginning of what was in store for Jett. That same year, he went on to work on the HBO series Vinyl and an Off Broadway run of La Trilogia de Juan Rulfo, directed by HOLA Award winner Germán Jaramillo. In a review from Impacto NY, Salazar "shined" as a newcomer in the spanish theater with "a strong presence." In 2015, Jett began his venture as a producer and star of Crocodile Boy. The film was released on March 2016 on Vimeo on Demand.Jett's work so far has made him a dark horse in the acting world. The combination of his rock n' roll image and unconventional approach to acting have made him the anti all American boy next door. HIs hope is to continue to tell stories through roles that can inspire and entertain. Show less «
