Jeff was born and raised in Central Pennsylvania. After receiving his M.A. in Sociology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, he relocated to the Pacific Northwest to work with social-justice and environmental non-profits. Inspired by independent film and video artists, movements like Dogme 95', and access to new digital technology, Jeff reconsidered the idea of making movies.Taking an autodidactic approach, Jeff produced his first project with the help of friends and family. Titled "Synchrony", this series of vignettes and discussions with artists, intellectuals, and activists Jeff befriended during his time in Eugene, OR are "ethnographic time-capsules in the form of digital folk-art", as well as a conversational response to Abbas Kiarostami's film "Ten".Still a stranger to the medium, Jeff spent the next few years studying the apparatus of film production and cinematic storytelling- collaborating with like minded artists to produce genre exercises including short narrative, sketch comedy, documentary, commercials, music videos, and scripts.Jeff's first feature length narrative film, the acid-western fantasy "Duende: Suit of Lights" wrapped production in 2013. He has also co-produced and directed music videos for The Thermals, Scout Niblett, and 1939 Ensemble. Show less «
