Originally raised in his home country of Scotland, Gareth has resided in Toronto, Ontario since 2008. He pursued his passion for the acting craft through training at EVN Studios, studying under mentor Earl Nanhu. He went on to continue his acting studies with Ron Leach at Dynamic Acting School and Bruce Clayton at Pro Actors Lab. Gareth has also attended many notable casting directors workshops, including those of Marissa Richmond and Brian Levy.Gareth takes great pride in his extensive student and independent film work. He believes that his dedication, appreciation and an understanding of the true qualities of performance and his ability to bring a role to life are what separates him from others in the field. Amongst those greats in the field Gareth is inspired by include childhood hero Cary Grant, and classic actors like Tom Hanks, John Travolta and Sidney Poitier.His main credits include roles in William Shatner's Weird or What, Mayday, Fraud Squad, Dual Suspects, and Curious and Unusual Deaths. Gareth sites his favorite projects as 'Liam' in Dirty Favours, 'Alan Hoffman' in Onus, 'Harry Gregg' in Mayday, and 'Surveyor' in Nightlights. Whether acting as a deranged drunk, a heartbroken husband, a plane crash survivor turned hero, or even a galaxy traveler lost from his family - Gareth loves the challenge of the variation of stories and characters portrayed in his work.Gareth is represented by Lisa Burke Talent Management Inc. and is furthering his acting studies with dialect coach John Fleming. He enjoys meeting the casting directors in Toronto, and looks forward to continuing auditions throughout the 2012-2013 television and movie season.
