Claire Manning grew up in Portland, OR, where she began acting at age 9. This lifelong calling started in the Portland Theatre Brigade where she performed in schools all around Portland, and continued into high school when she studied Meisner technique with Katie O' Grady . Claire initially embraced Meisner in all aspects of life, leading her non-actor friends through rounds of exercises that would leave them half falling over laughing, half deeply disturbed. Claire's first film appearance was in the Gift of Gravity, which received official selection in the NewFilmakers New York and the Portland Film Festival. Soon after, Claire was accepted into the prestigious USC BFA program, where she received one of only two merit scholarships awarded to the Class of 2019. An ardent feminist and a fierce friend, Claire's passion, authenticity, and constant search for growth has led to a diversity of exciting opportunities in her post-college life and acting career. Claire brings an ineffable and eccentric sense of humor and drama with her wherever she is and whatever she is doing.
